It's well-informed but the employees need more information on the areas they are working. For instance if an employee is working in cameras and he specializes on tablets and computers and has so much knowledge about them then that's what he should be working, in that area where he has the most knowledge and not of those products he has the least knowledge of.
Love it they are one of the best electronic stores around when I need some specific they will help you find it and if it's not in store they will order it if its available online
I really am a “buy local “person. However it didn’t work out this time. It’s taken me several trips to get the TV components what I want. I still don’t have them.
Wanted to buy a sound bar for my new television. The one I purchased did not work ( not their fault). Returned it and then spent 45 minutes trying to get someone to help me with their sound bar display which was intermittently working. Someone finally came over reset the system. It worked for another one minute and then died.
I have bought several components from Best Buy over the years but the customer service has been dropping with each experience. I want to spend money locally and encourage jobs locally but the business has to be willing to meet the customer half way and have enough people there to help you.
I would love to hear the sound bar quality before purchasing it but I just doesn’t look like that will be the case. Looks like it’s Amazon for me if I have to buy at blind I might as will get a cheaper.
_______________________________________________________________________Update: went back to the store later. Still had trouble getting help but was finally able to get the item I wanted. Glad my dollars stayed local but wish Best Buy had better training and better staffing.
I have shopped at this Best Buy for 8 years and overall have always had a positive experience. My best experience was my most recent visit where I pre-ordered a new smart phone. The associate who helped me was hands down the most friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful associate I've ever encountered. Thank you Edmar! Update 8/17/17 needed to purchase 2 more items, went in, the staff took care of me immediately and matched me up with the products that were perfect for me. Another 10 out of 10 experience!!!
Horrible customer service. I will never come back to this location. I wanted a simple price match off amazon for a 10$ difference on an external hard drive. I had it pulled up on my phone from amazons website showing the same model number, so the cashier took me to some back room to show me what they found. When I went to the back room the lady started yelling at me saying I’m not supposed to be back there even though the cashier was next to me and told me to follow him back. She said “the upcs have to match exactly” even though it was the same exact model number and specs, so they wouldn’t honor it. So I said screw this place and went to modesto Best Buy where I not only bought that drive, but also spent 1700$ on a new setup. Don’t go to Stockton Bestbuy, it’s worth the money to go to a different location.
